The city of Aranjuez offers a wide cultural and gastronomic offer that delights the many visitors from all over the world. The Cultural Landscape of Aranjuez was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2001.
Aranjuez is a municipality belonging to the Community of Madrid and which is crossed by the Tagus and Jarama rivers. In addition, Aranjuez is one of the Royal Sites of the Spanish monarchy since Philip II named it in 1560.
The Villa de Aranjuez is known for its Royal Palace and its Gardens, also for its strawberry and asparagus orchards and for having inspired the musician Joaquín Rodrigo for his Aranjuez Concert.
